Job Description:PACU Nurse - Pre Operative Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse - Registered Nurse - RN

What do you need?
- 2+ years of pre-operative and/or post-operative recovery room experience or critical care experience
- Nursing degree
- Texas state license
- CPR certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Knowledge of aseptic technique, anesthetic agents and complications, and ability to handle emergency situations is required.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours per day; bend, stoop, twist, assist patients in turning, rising from recliners and stretchers, assist patients in and out of wheelchairs, push wheelchairs, and assist with the moving of patients on and off the operating room table.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
What will you be doing?
- The primary responsibility of the RN will be to perform the duties of a pre-op / PACU Nurse.
- Provide expert professional nursing care for the patient during the pre-operative and post-operative course.
- Assess, plans, implements and evaluates the care of patients throughout surgical intervention.
- Supervise any ancillary staff, to include Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants
-Identify actual and potential risk to patients and others and takes action to minimize or eliminate risk and maximize safety.
