AMJ Equipment Corp. is searching for an Outside Sales Engineer residing in the Nashville area and responsible for the Central Tennessee territory.( http://www.amjequipment.com)
Job Summary:
Promote products and services for all manufacturers that we represent. Motivated people in this position become technically competent with the application of these products and gain a general understanding of process conditions where they are used. Be a problem-solver and a technical expert in applying products and services that AMJ has to offer.
Primary Responsibilities
Being proactive in calling on customers and offering them solutions within an assigned territory. To be a trusted advisor in applying our products to our customer's applications needs. Review specifications, application requirements and other customer documents in determining products to meet their specifications. Provide technical support to customers relating to use, operation and maintenance of equipment sold. Develop and grow a territory by generating sales.Education
Bachelor’s degree and two years of sales experience within the industry or Associate’s degree in a technical field or business concentration with at least 2 years of sales experience.Skills
Have a good understanding of general industrial process operations. Be able to recognize potential problems at a customer’s plant and be able to offer recommendations for solutions. Recognize sales opportunities beyond the customer’s perceived needs or requirements. Ability to recognize key decision makers within a customer’s organization. Ability to be persistent and be determined. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Travel
Throughout the assigned region. Most travel will be via auto, with overnight distance travel as business need dictates.
