The Opportunity

We seek an experienced Outside Sales Representative to focus on customers within the Government Market including Federal, State, Local, and Educational (Public & Private) targeted customers.  This position is located at our Oklahoma City, OK. branch.  This individual will:

Customarily and regularly interacts with prospects and customers in person at the customer’s site of business or other off-site locations.Sells Graybar electrical products.Recommends new items for stock.Participates in training sessions, trade shows and meetings as needed.Demonstrates products before/after sale when necessary.Keeps management informed of local competition and market conditions.

 

RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Three or more year’s progressively responsible sales experience within the government sector as well as telecommunications and electrical industry is preferred.Advance oral and written communication skills.Ability to make oral and written presentations to internal and external customers.Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.Ability to thrive in a competitive environment.Have a strategic mindset.Will require onsite customer visits.
