This is an Outside Sales position calling on business and institutions.
This is an entry-level position.
A salesperson's’ responsibility includes repetitive scheduled sales calls on customers and prospects in the Waco, Texas greater metropolitan area.
The products we sell are primarily high repeat items. The majority of our products are disposable items that customers purchase and use on a weekly or monthly basis. Most customer purchases are delivered directly to business clients within one day on our fleet of delivery trucks from our Distribution center.
A salesperson's time will be spent opening and developing new customers for our products. There are other competitors similar to us in the area selling to or attempting to sell to the same clients in this area. This is a very competitive career.
Normally a new salesperson requires two years to learn and become established in a sales territory in our business if they work very hard at it.
Established Sales Reps are compensated fully by commission. We have a training/learning period for new sales reps. During this period we compensate new reps differently from established reps. Reps begin on a salary the first month. The second month, the salary reduces and is replaced by a small commission rate. This process continues until a salesperson is established and is working on full commission.
There is training for new reps however largely what needs to be learned is product knowledge that must be self-taught.
Established sales reps can possibly make up to or in excess of $300K annually after several years successful experience. This is not guaranteed as it is a fully commission job. Because the compensation rate for account managers is so high, there is no benefit package available.

Job Purpose:
Serves customers by discovering opportunities, selling products, training customers, demonstrating products, meeting customer needs.
Duties:
* Establishing new accounts, servicing existing accounts, obtains orders, by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers and prospects.
* Developing new customers and prospects through regular planned and scheduled "cold-calling".
* Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the type of customer or prospect and products to fit their needs.
* Focus sales efforts by learning existing and potential volume of customers and prospects.
* Create and Submit orders to office for delivery and billing.
* Keep management informed daily by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
* Monitor and learn competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, marketing techniques, etc.
* Recommend changes in products, and services to customers and prospects by evaluating results and competitive developments in the local and national market.
* Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; making recommendations to management.
* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing vendor publications; establishing personal networks; studying and learning products; studying and learning vendor products and capabilities.
* Continually study product knowledge relevant to products available to sell to become proficient in presenting those products. This takes a commitment of several hours per day for a very long time as we have a huge number (over 250,000 sku's) of items that are available to the customer basically the next day.

This is a "true sales position".
This is a full-time position with an opportunity for a very high and unlimited income ranging from $36,000 to $300,000 or more annually.
After 2-year learning/training period, all account managers (sales reps) are fully commissioned.
This is an entry-level position. Successful candidate will be opening and growing a new sales territory in a competitive field.
Potential for high income after 2-year training period depending on dedication and efforts. Income directly reflects efforts expended.
This is also a career position. Our retention rate for successful account managers is almost 100%.
Our commission rate is among the highest in our industry.
There is local travel involved - no overnight travel. All customers/prospects are in the greater metropolitan area of Waco, Texas.
