CEi seeks a Organizational Development Specialist for its Sacramento, CA office.  In this newly created position you have the opportunity to act as a resource and guide in key strategic areas including Organizational effectiveness and Organizational Development. You will be responsible for helping to chart the course for our continued success.

 

You will help guide CEi towards a best-practices environment. In this hands-on role you will apply your experience and knowledge to develop processes and programs that improve our company's culture. The position will evolve as the company continues to grow and change, but some responsibilities include managing and delivering leadership training, coaching, mentoring, performance management, career-path development, employee opinion survey design, and change management solutions.

 

Basic Functions:

Position is responsible for analyzing, formulating, facilitating, and deploying Organizational Effectiveness (OE) programs and processes aligned with CEi’s mission, vision, core values, strategies, and philosophy to improve business results.  Provides the Organizational Development (OD) expertise and support for overall organizational effectiveness and talent management strategies which engage employees, enhance performance, and create a competitive advantage. 

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

Assesses the effectiveness of the organization structure by studying the clarity of our mission, strategy, objectives, division of work, accountabilities, and communication systems. Conduct workload analysis and recommend workforce realignment of resources.   Lead human capital forecasting and planning efforts to ensure CEi  has the right number, type, and quality of employees to execute on business strategies.Diagnose organization problems to determine necessary change plans by examining performance records, surveying and interviewing employees. Translate goals into actionable initiatives.  Design solutions such as: coaching, mentoring, training, development, and teambuilding. Ensure effectiveness of solutions through the use of assessment instruments and surveys.  Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate creative and effective employee and leadership development programs with targeted competencies.               Lead the education, coaching and execution of annual performance management cycle from annual goal setting to year end reviews.Support organizational objectives by implementing change initiatives to achieve desired outcomes.Evaluate and select vendors to deliver quality, integrated training and development solutions.Lead employee opinion survey design, administration, reporting, and action planning.Share knowledge across departments to ensure programs and interventions are integrated.Assist with annual budget development as related to organizational and professional development.

 

Typical Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Business, Human Resources Development, or related field. 7 years Organizational Development experience.Demonstrated skills in training; strategic business planning; needs assessment; and program design, delivery, and evaluation.Demonstrated knowledge of employee performance standards, quality improvement principles, and business process reengineering.Excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, facilitation, and presentation skills.Project management experience.
