CTG is in immediate need of Oracle Database Developers with Migration experience for a long term, specialty migration project with our Fortune 20 customer. Consultants can be located in any city, any state in the USA and must be willing to travel 100% Monday through Friday to the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Travel expenses are provided outside of the hourly pay rate which is negotiable based on previous experience.
Required Skills:
Oracle 10g DBA, DB2 UDB (UNIX), AIX/UNIX, Linux. Re-Hosting Database Platform, Shell Scripting Good to have: MS SQL, Sybase, Tivoli, DB2/zOS, Datacenter migration Experienced in Oracle RAC, Oracle Transportable Tablespaces (and other migration tools), Troubleshooting, and Performance Turning a must. Experienced in installations and re-hosting experience on AIX, UNIX and Linux. Candidates must have strong communication and client relationship skills (level 4); should have played leadership roles in earlier assignments. Oracle DBA - 5 years experience minimumMust be willing to work weekends during production cut-overs. Road Warrior position – MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL 100% Monday to Friday to Cincinnati, OhioThis role will require the individual to lead a team of DBAs into creation and execution of migration plan for re-hosting of databases to newer hardware. The candidate will be required to have not only a good understanding of Oracle Databases, but will also be required to participate in Architectural meetings with the client to establish the target Infrastructural Design.
