Under general direction, responsible for activities related to system administration. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software.

Senior iSeries Server Administrator provides day-to-day direction for other iSeries server administrators and provides architectural/strategic direction for the iSeries server platform. Activities include server capacity planning, disaster recovery, identification of new technologies and retirement of old technologies. This position works directly with applications groups on application architecture/design and application performance troubleshooting. The senior iSeries Admin works closely with external vendors to provide services to customers.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience.

Exposure to generating or adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs.

• Basic to intermediate experience with MIMIX replication software a plus
• Basic to intermediate experience with ODBC Client Access, SQL, Turnover, Powerlock and Patrick Townsend applications a plus
• Previous iSeries hardware and/or operating system experience a plus
• Familiar with server management and/or database concepts and/or application development lifecycle a plus
• Knowledge of the oil and gas industry and/or basic understanding of accounting and finance a plus
