• Boiler operation;
• Forklift operation;
• Monitor and operate emulsion milling process;
• Mix chemical solutions;
• Perform valve switching for tank line-ups;
• Load and unload raw materials;
• Perform routine minor maintenance and adjustments on equipment such as: opening and closing valves, inspecting process piping and equipment, reading and recording process flow, pressure, temperature and level measurements, gather samples from sample valves, drum handling;
• Basic computer skills;
• General maintenance which includes: pipe fitting; bolting/un-bolting equipment; insulating piping and tanks; cleaning equipment; recycling pump seal drips; strainer and filter cleaning and other tasks as determined by management.

Ideal candidate will possess:
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word);
• Verbal and written communication skills;
• Valid driver’s license;
• Critical thinking and decision making skills;
• Good organizational skills;
• Willing to work shift work when necessary and be on-call for after hours support;
• Ability to work at elevated heights;
• Ability to safely lift at least 75 lbs;
• Ability to climb ladders and storage tank stairs (stairs/ ladders may have ice and snow during winter months) for maintenance and gauging operations;
• Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions;
• Willing to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, fire retardant clothing and safety work boots) as required;
• Occasional travel (with overnight stays) required for attending training, meetings and assisting other areas or locations;
• Ideal candidates will have prior experience with asphalt products and/or oil and gas industry; maintenance, machinery operations, boiler operation, and laboratory testing.
Education Required
High School Diploma or GED
Education Preferred
Some college or technical school training in industrial mechanics or an Associates degree from an accredited school.
