Regional manufacturer of custom wood components and cabinets has an exciting opportunity for a qualified Operations Manager to oversee production, maintenance and purchasing. This individual would ensure that the production of finished product is consistent with the demands of the customer and within the established standards of quality and cost, while providing a safe and clean environment for employees. The successful candidate would facilitate the following:

(1) Maximize the utilization of manpower through effective training, development, delegation, and performance evaluation/counseling of operating personnel.

(2) Ensure that daily production requirements are met by driving process improvement through use of Lean Manufacturing techniques.

(3) Work with maintenance department to resolve maintenance related problems causing poor quality or unplanned downtown.

(4) Ensure that established quality standards are achieved through proper training of operators.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of manufacturing experience in a management position, will have a strong background in CNC machining and will be a self-starter that can take full responsibility for the performance of the plant. The candidate selected for this position will also have a minimum of a 4 year degree with experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and cost reduction.
