Pilgrim's Pride is seeking an Operations Manager (Luker) for our Augusta, GA location.

This position will manage daily engineering functions of Luker Engineering, fabrication operation of Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation. Responsible for the advanced engineering assignments over a wide range of moderate to complex projects. Directs, coordinates
and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Duties include scheduling, supervision, and evaluation of work as a Manager (or equivalent) over Assistant Managers and/or Supervisors. Has approval authority of personnel actions such as hirings, terminations, and disciplinary actions.

Basic Responsibilities:
 Plans and formulates engineering projects and organizes fabrication personnel to meet project requirements.
 Conducts comprehensive engineering planning, design and operational studies.
 Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project and monitors progress of completion.
 Manages daily operations of engineering, fabrication, administration and some sales. Administration includes purchasing of materials for projects, safety and supervision of personnel functions.
 Performs resident engineering and fleet manager duties. As resident engineer, interfaces with customer and has responsibility for design and project management functions.
 Develops excellent rapport with designers/drafters to produce engineering drawings using Autocad. Will troubleshoot problems to bring about resolution.
 Prepares various project reports and communicates timely information to internal and external customers.
 Ensures customer satisfaction by working with sales, drafting, fabrication and installation personnel in timely completion of projects within set budget.
 Knowledge of a body of standardized rules, procedures or operations requiring considerable experience.

Basic Qualifications:
- 7 years of directly related experience in Operations Management.
- Previous experience in Management and Supervisory duties preferred.
- Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, etc)
- SAP or other ERP system experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate with both internal and external professional or supervisory positions.

Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED; Typically requires a Bachelors degree in an enginerring discipline; however, additional related work experience will be considered in lieu of the education requirement.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration: Registered Engineer preferred
