Sodexo is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the food service operation at a high profile account in Dover, DE. The manager will be directly responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a large volume kitchen, which services patient services,catering and a 2 high volume retail areas for a 300 bed acute care hospital. The manager will also assume direct supervision of 26 employees, an executive chef and Patient Service Supervisors The ideal candidate will have prior catering , food production , financial reporting experience. A solid financial background with excellent computer skills is needed to assist the General Manager with weekly reporting. The ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects is imperative. Candidate will work weekdays and up to 4 weekends per year.
Position Summary: Assumes GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence in complex multi-functional accounts. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Responsible for financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers. Basic Education Requirement: Associate's Degree Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required: 2 years of lead/supervisory/management experience Basic Functional Experience Required: 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc. You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.
