Dyson is looking for an experienced, intelligent and curious person to help take the brand and the business to the next level. Partnering with the VP marketing to lead and drive the US marketing team ensuring we achieve our annual goals.  This will be a truly collaborative team effort as we build the new team and re-establish excellence within the group.  The Operations Director will be a key member of the US Marketing Leadership team.

 

 

Key responsibilities will include:

Manage all marketing timelines including product launches to ensure Dyson products launch with maximum impact in the marketplace. Liaise with other departments within the business to ensure marketing is providing timely and accurate service leading up to in-market date and through product’s life.Overall responsibility for the talent management of the entire marketing department. Lead and develop direct reports including actively managing and coaching individuals; communicating clear priorities and required results; and providing consistent support and regular feedback to grow the marketing team professionally.  Review, amend and initiate all marketing processes – ie product launches, workflow, resource planning to drive the team to work efficiently, effectively and on time. Ensure team follows the processes from initiation through to final legal sign-off.Oversee development of all production line graphic materials – working closely with the global communications, graphics and product marketing groups.Lead the annual marketing planning and budgeting process.  Manage the marketing budget and plans throughout the year. Evaluate ROI of marketing campaigns and manage expenses to a budget.Oversee product development strategy - liaise with global product and engineering teams to ensure the local market information informs future product launches. Drive local range planning and accurate forecasting for floorcare and future product segments.Oversee all competitor analysis – including competitor products and marketing claims. Ensure appropriate strategies are developed when needed.

 

Key qualifications:

6+ years practical, relevant product and brand marketing experience.Experience managing complex projects and product launches.Strong fiscal acumen - experience managing P&L.Experience working cross functionally with all constituencies in the business.Experience working within process driven environment and ability to identify and establish new processes. Proven project management experience with strong communication skills to direct internal teams, external vendors and to ensure outcomes consistent with marketing goals and objectives Experience managing marketing teams including hiring, managing performance and developing skill set of direct reports.
