Our purpose is to Improve the environmental condition.Ô This position is responsible for completion of day-to-day tasks involving safe and efficient operation of Cargill Environmental Finance anaerobic digesters located in the Twin Falls, Idaho area. Tasks will include performance and documentation of operational tasks, environmental, health and safety tasks/reporting, light maintenance tasks/maintenance management, contractor management, and mechanical as well as electrical troubleshooting and resolution. Travel among Idaho sites is required. Primary contact will be with the CEF operations and maintenance manager, location key service contractors and location dairy management staff. Other contacts will include new project management personnel and routine correspondence with regulatory and/or power company personnel. This position is expected to be an on-site manager with a keen interest to operate all sites in the most effective manner possible within all Cargill operations requirements. The position will have exposure to pumps, blowers, separation technology, large spark-ignition generating sets and heating and cooling systems. Expectations include accelerated development of maintenance and reliability processes to increase utilization efficiency, equipment evaluation, and documentation of all operating logs, maintenance history/activities and reporting requirements.
Principal Accountabilities: 1. Daily logging and reporting of operational parameters and maintenance activities 2. Performance of light maintenance activities 3. Direct oversight of service contractors 4. Timely reporting and projections to regulatory and power company agencies 5. Continual operational and maintenance process improvements 6. Successful mechanical and electrical trouble-shooting and problem resolution 7. Ability to schedule manage schedule, prioritize activities among up to five different locations in the same geographic area. 8. Ability to communicate with, and form an effective partnership with the service providers and dairy owner/operator personnel.
*Relocation will not be provided for this position* Required:At least five years experience of direct mechanical and/or electrical work. Knowledge of dairy operations. Certification from recognized electrical or maintenance organizations demonstrating proficiency. Must have basic proficiency in Microsoft Office. Reliable, dependable, self-starter due to remote and multiple locations. Personal skills needed to effectively work with a diverse group of service providers and owner/operators. Have the ability to manage multiple sites and the ability to travel among those sites. Must be available 24/7. Good communications skills; clear written and oral correspondence. Be able to communicate to all levels of stakeholders. High integrity and high ethical standards. Courage and behaviors necessary to represent CEF’s best interests with all stakeholders at all times. Passion for engines, mechanical/electrical components and maintenance work. Operational/mechanical insight to recognize O&M issues and the ownership to resolve issues. Strong team player – willing to set challenging standards for personal work . Must assume ownership of location O&M processes Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office as necessary for documentation and reporting requirements.
