POSITION
SUMMARY:
The University of New Mexico Cancer Center is a statewide provider of cancer services and is influential in the cancer care field throughout the State of New Mexico.
The UNMCC is currently recruiting for an Oncology Practice Specialist to work in our Albuquerque Clinic. Under indirect supervision the person in this position will provide independent primary care to cancer patients for the Medical Oncology Service. The successful candidate will provide specialized routine to acute primary care, diagnostic assessment, intervention and evaluation to recently diagnosed, chronically or terminally ill, or convalescing oncology patients receiving inpatient and/or outpatient services at the UNMCC.

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related medical field/discipline with at least 2 years of directly related experience OR master's degree in Nursing or in Science with Physician Assistant Science emphasis.
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner certification program; current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant.
