Maxim Staffing Solutions is currently hiring for a Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario, OR. This position is a Monday-Friday, 7:30a-4p position with a very competitive wage. Maxim provides nursing staff to the Oregon Department of Corrections, Oregon Youth Authority Facilities and several county jails in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Snake River Correctional Institution is a multi-security facility which opened in August 1991. It is currently the largest prison in Oregon with 2,336 medium security beds, 154 minimum security beds and 510 special housing beds. Nurse Practitioner / NP Details: Nurse Practitioner will provide medication management to mentally ill inmates at the Department of Corrections, including examination, diagnosis, prescription of treatment, and performance of specialized procedures that are within the scope of practice of the licensed nurse practitioner, with referral to physician when determination is made that illness is beyond that scope of practice. Treatment is provided in a setting that ranges from ambulatory or clinic care to Infirmary or Special Management Unit. The PMHNP provides after hours on-call services to Snake River Correctional Institution via telephone. Maxim employees are our greatest asset.
