Obtaining health histories and performs physical examinations.
Providing episodic and/or primary care services as appropriate.
Providing wellness care for adults and children, including screening and immunizations.
Teaching health promotion, wellness, and disease prevention.
Performing assessments, diagnoses, and in partnership with the student, family, and/or school health teams, managing acute and chronic health conditions.
Ordering, conducting, and interpreting diagnostic studies and laboratory tests.
Prescribing or recommending armacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, including controlled medications, with approval of the primary care provider or program Medical Director.
Educating students, families, and groups as indicated.
Maintaining professional education through the provision of CEU's and organizational development trainings.
Refering patients to appropriate community health or social agencies.
Documenting patient data according to legal requirements.
Developing and participating in school-based, community outreach programs/activities.General QualificationsCurrent Licensure as a Registered Nurse granted by the State of Wisconsin.
Master of Science Degree in Nursing with certification by appropriate governing body and current Wisconsin.
Eligibility or current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) prescribing privileges.
Eligible for Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber certificate granted by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing.
Requires the ability to work as a member of a health care team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
