     LOCATION:  WORCESTER REGION

We have a need for a dynamic RN who can provide stellar customer service to our healthy donors, as well as mentoring and team leadership to our Phlebotomy staff.  We have a need for an individual who will assume responsibility for blood drives covering the Worcester area:

This position is ideal for an individual who has the desire to work outside of a hospital or long term health care environment, or has been separated and wishes to return to the field of nursing.  The Red Cross offers such a wonderful opportunity to work directly with our healthy blood donors at the various mobile blood drives in the community.

Work schedule includes four (4) 10 hour days.

Comprehensive paid classroom and on-the-job training will be provided.  Upcoming  New Hire Orientation and Training begins on June 2nd and July 1st.

Working in a positive, proactive environment, you’ll play an important role in managing the Blood Collection Operations.  

Responsible for supervision of the collection operation at blood drives with a concentration in the region in which you reside.  You will provide team leadership for all elements of our on site operations at companies, communities, high schools and colleges.  You will drive to a different blood drive each day. 

The hours you work each day will be based on the time the blood drive starts and ends.  You will be provided with a Blood Drive schedule two weeks in advance.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule, be willing to travel locally and enjoy working in various environments with our volunteer donors.  We would like to fill this role by someone who can foster a team environment where all relevant duties are performed in accordance with regulatory requirements, provide leadership and mentoring needed to maintain superior donor care, safety and satisfaction during the blood donation process.

·        Current RN license for State of Massachusetts and CPR certification.

·        Valid driver’s license along with a good driving record.

·        Excellent customer service orientation

·        Prior experience using computers and software is necessary.
