VC Summer Nuclear Station in Jenkinsville, SC has an opening for a Nuclear I & C Instructor in the Nuclear Craft Training Department.  VC Summer Station is part of the SCE&G subsidiary of Scana; the largest in this Fortune 500 company.  VC Summer is located just 30 miles northwest of Columbia, SC.

 

This position is responsible for conducting performance analyses and determining training needs, designing and developing  training programs and materials, and planning and scheduling training activities.  They conduct classroom and laboratory training courses, appraise and report on student progress, and document and maintains records for training.  Conducts and documents evaluations of training program effectiveness, and reports the results of these evaluations to Training and Plant management.  Required to provide support to Training and/or related special projects as deemed appropriate by station management.

 

This position will be filled at the level commensurate with the candidate's education and experience.  Ideally, a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is desired plus and a minimum of 5 years experience in a technical field to include instrument and control maintenance experience.  Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered. Nuclear training experience is desirable. This position requires the ability to work varying work schedules. Knowledge of adult learning theories and knowledge of the theory and application of a Systematic Approach to Training process is desirable.
