METCALF & EDDY is seeking a WATER/WASTEWATER PROCESS MECHANICAL ENGINEER III for its New York, NY office. The qualified individual will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical processes and equipment for a variety of municipal water and wastewater projects.  The candidate will have demonstrated strong knowledge and experience in rotating equipment, piping systems, wastewater unit processes a good appreciation of the total design of water and wastewater treatment facilities including Membrane Bioreactor and other filtration systems. As well as the ability to mentor and advise junior staff, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated, quick to deliver and a team player. Incumbent must be able to demonstrate a dedication to safety and effective problem solving skills and should be accomplished communicators. Qualifications *  BS Degree Mechanical, environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering
*  5 - 12 years of industry related experience
*  Must have experience in the design of liquid and solids pumping systems; evaluating, sizing, selecting and specifying a wide variety of process equipment typically installed at water and wastewater treatment facilities.
*  Must also have experience with valve and piping applications at above facilities.
