We are currently seeking individuals who are ready to join our winning team at our Headquarters in Miami, FL!

The primary objective of the New Business Accounting Manager is to do the financial reporting for all new products, channels and divisions. This includes the preparation of all monthly and quarterly schedules required by IAC.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Acts as liaison with Resort Quest Hawaii accounting office.Provides corporate accounting with trial balances for all RQH companies on a monthly basis.Prepares monthly financial schedules.Prepares quarterly reporting package.Accesses and extracts data from Oracle system used by RQH and runs necessary reports. Uploads data into JD Edwards to meet special reporting needs.Evaluates adequacy of internal controls and offers solutions for improvement of internal controls.Performs financial analysis of financial statements.Performs monthly consolidation process including, elimination of intercompany balances and transactions. Ensures all intercompany accounts are balanced each month. Maintains eliminating entities. Responsible for understanding RQH in order to evaluate budget submissions from technical and reporting standpoint.Provides monthly forecast adjustments for RQH.Coordinates the update of RQH business continuity plan.Acts as main liaison in the external audit by E&Y as it pertains to RQH.Understand and maintains adequate controls for RQH. Maintains any relevant SOX narratives.Researches accounting issues for new products, channels, divisions, etc.Responsible for Oracle financial modules, including granting of access rights.Maintains financial mapping between Oracle, JDE and Hyperion.Develops chart of accounts for new products, channels, division, etc.Handles special projects or duties as assigned.Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors degree in accounting.Should possess a min of 5 years in a corporate accounting environment.Must possess a min of 2 years managerial experience.Must be familiar with interpreting and accounting for complex contracts.Must have strong analytical skills to interpret financial and statistical data.Must possess sound knowledge of accounting theory and GAAP.Must be computer literate and be proficient with all MS Office applications.Should possess knowledge of JD Edwards and Oracle.Must possess excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.Must be detail oriented, accurate, and possess excellent organizational skills.Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Must be able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
