Job Description:

This position provides a challenging opportunity to support the LAN, WAN and telecommunications infrastructure at a growing financial institution.  Duties include managing and supporting the bank’s telephony and LAN/WAN infrastructure for The PrivateBank headquarters and its 17 other offices in located throughout the Midwest.

 

Responsibilities Include:

Manage and administer enterprise PBX systems and related vendors

        Manage and administer enterprise telecommunications service vendors         Manage and administer enterprise wide- and local-area networks         Coordinate enterprise-wide business continuity planning for IT networks and systems         Perform in-depth telecommunications systems monitoring, troubleshooting and reporting         Maintain telephony database continuity         Lead telecommunication implementation projects         Management of day-to-day telecommunication functions. (New installs, moves, adds and changes).         Assist the Help Desk in troubleshooting incidents         Direct low voltage wiring and other IT-related infrastructure components of facility expansion and acquisition projects        Responsible for LAN, WAN, and telephony documentation        Involved in management of third party telecommunications, LAN, and WAN vendors

 

Requirements:

         Three to four years of telecommunications administration experience        In-depth knowledge of telephone principles and protocols         Basic knowledge of VOIP is a plus         Knowledge of T-1s, DID’s, ISDN-PRI, POTS, Frame Relay, MPLS services         Experience with TCP/IP routing and switching        Some experience managing Microsoft Windows servers and applications        Solid troubleshooting skills as well as good communication skills        Knowledge and experience with low voltage wiring        Strong written and oral communication skills        Demonstrated skills of successfully working in a team environment        Direct interface with end users and telecommunication vendors        Strong analytical, organization, multitasking and prioritization skills capable of troubleshooting telecommunication related issues        Self-motivated, task oriented       5% travel required       Must be able to lift up to 50lbs 

Education:

 

Bachelors Degree required in technical related field or equivalent knowledge in work experience.
