Network Security Engineer

Los Angeles, CA

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* Three years experience with any of the following industry standard security practices, policies and protocols:

 - NIST

 - NSA

 - Department of Homeland Security (DHS)

 - DOD standards

* Must be able to provide an example of applying security principles in advanced network and security architectures.

* Three years experience building and managing host and network intrusion detection/prevention systems including CSA, ISS Real Secure, TippingPoint and/or Axent.

*Two years experience building and managing centralized multi-firewall/VPN management systems, including use and knowledge of network security correlation solutions such as CiscoWorks VPN/Security management System (VMS), Cisco MARS, ArcSight SIM, and/or NetForensics.

* Three years experience within the last six years with any of the following industry standard security vulnerability analysis tools:

a)      Foundstone

b)      Sniffer Solutions

c)      Microsoft Hfnetchk

d)      URL Scanner

e)      Nessus Scanner

f)        GFI LanGuard

g)      ISS Vulnerability Scanner

h)      AppDetective

i)        WebInspect

j)        Metasploit

* Three years experience leading security incident triage and response, including working with firewall and VPN device logs, investigating security events, protecting forensic value of data and establishing monitoring and incident reporting/response procedure for timely notification of security vulnerabilities.

* Must have at least one of the following certifications:

SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)

SANS GIAC Certifications: FW and/or Intrusion Detection

CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)

Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP)

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE Security)
