Description:
Volt is seeking a Network Security Administrator for an estimated 8 month contract opportunity in Austin,TX. The Network Security Administrator should be capable of working alone or within provided operating procedures. The candidate should be experienced working with Checkpoint Firewalls and VPN's and performing firewall set up and modifications.

Requirements:
The position requires a solid understanding of network security; the candidate should be able to understand the concept of physical, data and human factors when discussing security. A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts;must be able to understand the principles of routing. Effective troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities in a security environment. Ability to identify security threats and provide insight into their mitigation. An understanding of ISO 17799 and its implications on Network Security practices. Unix/Linux Knowledge Cisco certification CISSP Preferred. Strong interpersonal and communications skills; capable of writing proposals or papers, acting as a vendor liaison, making presentations to customers or client audiences or professional peers, and working closely with upper management.
