Masergy Communications has an opening for a full-time Network Provisioning Analyst in our Plano, Texas office.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Summary of Responsibilities:

 

The Network Provisioning Analyst is responsible for the end-to-end circuit provisioning of network backbone circuits and entrance facilities around the globe.  This position is responsible for completing network planning projects, including coordinated conversions and grooming of customer circuits and network facilities. The Network Provisioning Analyst ensures network optimization and groom project plans are accurately completed on time. Finally, this position is responsible for keeping accurate network element assignments in our provisioning systems and circuit inventory database.

 

Essential Functions:

 

Provisioning complex DS1/E1/DS3 special access, Ethernet, and Optical circuits Driving vendors and performing escalations as requiredTrack and manage projects and orders placed with vendors to ensure critical dates are metWork closely, and coordinate effectively, with vendors and internal customers to provide superior serviceRequires attention to detail and accuracyAbility to multi-task and accurately complete projects on timeCoordinate all provisioning activities with vendorsResponsible for staying current on the ever changing order process with designated vendorsEnsure that accurate FOC and DLR's are received on all ordersAbility to keep schedules, manage suppliers, and operate in high production environment Provide network planning support for future network build out, network optimization and access planningProvide weekly/monthly management reporting

 

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

          Experience

 

·       4 year degree or equivalent work experience

·       Minimum 5 years provisioning experience, including special access and IXC ordering, entrance facility and grooming initiatives.

·       Working knowledge of voice and data communication

·       Technical and/or circuit designer experience strongly preferred

·       Experience with IXC Carriers, RBOCs and alternative access providers

·       Expertise in local and long haul, Optical and Ethernet circuit provisioning.

·       Working knowledge of IP circuit and/or network provisioning

·       Experience with Microsoft Office products as well as basic computer skills

·       Experience working in a team environment

·       International provisioning experience a plus

 

 

          Educational, Licenses and Certificates

 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

 

          Knowledge and Skills

 

·       Strong written, organizational and oral communication skills

·       Possess a professional attitude and work ethic in addition to being well organized and efficient

·       Ability to deal with unforeseen situations and come up with logical solutions to these problems without outside instruction

·       Self-motivated

·       Ability to motivate people and work as part of a team

       

Working Conditions

 

·       Limited travel to other facilities

·       Heavy interaction with vendors and other groups within Masergy

·       Overtime work as required throughout the year
