The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a Network Engineer for our Advanced Technologies Group- Operations Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Essential Job Functions:
Maintains local/wide area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services such routers, switches, modems, and cabling in a 7x24 Internet service provider environment.
Contributes to the design, provisioning/deployment, and operations of local and wide area network.
Troubleshoots and resolves complex network problems to ensure minimal disruption.
Coordinates installation of router, switches, and other networking devices.
Event management using an enterprise ticketing system.
Participates in the development and implementation of disaster recovery procedures.
Communicates with other departments in reporting and resolving software, hardware, and operational issues.

Job Requirements:
Emphasis on Cisco routers and networking; a thorough knowledge of SONET technology, Ethernet - 100BaseT and Gigabit. Knowledge of DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) network design is a plus.

Advanced knowledge of RIP, OSPF, and BGP routing protocols; experienced with troubleshooting routing and Networking hardware devices.

Experience with Juniper routers, Cisco routers, and Cisco switches is required; Knowledge of CMTS's - Cisco uBR's and Motorola BSR's is desired, as is knowledge of VoIP technologies.

IP based routing. Cisco hardware installation, configuration, troubleshooting. ,CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIP

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
