Position Description:

Responsibility for administration, analysis, troubleshooting, and design, of servers, network systems, and communications circuits in a growing multi-segment international business. The incumbent will be challenged on an ongoing basis to learn current and emerging technologies and share rotating after hours and weekend on-call responsibility. Extensive interaction with colleagues within and beyond the I/T area will be required to develop and validate practical and effective business technology solutions. Financial proficiency to perform basic traffic analysis, return on investment calculations, and invoice administration is desirable.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field, or equivalent work experience. Avaya or other certification is desirable, but not required. Experience: Typically has 3 to 5 years of IT and/or Telecommunications work experience, with at least 1 year of hands-on technical experience. Familiarity with server administration and general technical aptitude are highly desirable. At least 1 year experience in a multiple location environment is preferable. Optimal candidates will have VoIP familiarity, system administrator experience with the Avaya voice platform, advanced voice processing technologies, call center systems, and Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM). Experience managing telecommunications services vendors is highly desirable but not required. Breadth: Systems administration, planning, design, and project management responsibility. First line technical decision making authority under the manager’s supervision.
