Position:  Naval Architect

Location: St. Rose, LA

Type/Duration of Position: Direct Hire

Salary:  $60,000 -$80,000 Depending on Experience

One of our amazing clients who is the leading provider of quality construction, repair and conversion products and services to both the military and commercial marine industry is looking for a NAVAL ARCHITECT to join their team in St. Rose, LA. jOB DESCRIPTION:
The Naval Architect will be responsible for vessel design and a variety of naval architecture and marine engineering tasks.

Specific skills/experience that the candidate must have are as follows:

-Ability to work independently and in a team environment

-Ability to multi-task on several projects simultaneously

-B.S. in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering or equivalent degree

-2 years industry experience working in the marine field

-Experience with classification rules, hull structures, specialized

 component structure and foundations, stability, project management

-Must be proficient in use of ABS/DnV Classification Rules, AutoCAD,

 GHS, Excel and Word.

-Experience with ShipConstructor, Finite Element Analysis, NavCad

 Power Prediction software is a plus

-E.I.T. certificate is a plus

-U.S. citizenship is required
