Harris Environmental Group, Inc. is a respected natural and cultural resources consulting firm with offices in Phoenix and Tucson seeking a Division Manager to join our Natural Resources Division. This position provides a unique opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team in one of the most ecologically diverse areas of the nation. This is a full-time, salaried position with salary based on qualifications and experience. Benefits include medical insurance, paid holidays and vacation, and retirement plan.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Manage environmental compliance projects, including budgets and management of staff. Oversee preparation of reports related to Endangered Species Act, National Historic Preservation Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Clean Water Act, and a range of local regulatory processes in Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and southern California. Establish and maintain positive client relationships.

·         Coordination of field and office schedules for natural resources staff

·         Preparation of natural resources proposals and assistance with other office proposals

·         Project management including monitoring budgets, reviewing invoices, client communications, scheduling fieldwork, overseeing preparation of technical report

 

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated consulting experience. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously. Record of fieldwork demonstrating knowledge of scientific method and theory. Masters degree in natural resources field. Demonstrated professional experience in Arizona or New Mexico. Experience preparing Biological Assessments, Biological Evaluations, Biological Reviews, Jurisdictional Determinations, and Environmental Assessments.

 

Preference will be given to candidates that demonstrate a record of accomplishment in any or all of the following:

 

8 to 15 years of consulting experience in increasingly responsible and technical positions. Demonstrated experience managing staff. Strong, and demonstrated, knowledge of Sonoran Desert ecosystems. Demonstrated experience assisting clients with environmental compliance projects in the American Southwest. Demonstrated experience writing regulatory compliance documents. Experience creating positive client relationships. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, team player. Technical report production or desktop publishing skills.
