Position Description
As a member of the MDS National Team and as a Lead Systems Analyst for the CCM IPT, candidate will be responsible for horizontal CCM technology insertion to manifest an improved end-to-end BMDS capability. Analyst will develop and document conceptual approaches, analyze extremely complex and highly sensitive systems, methods, procedures, and processes. Conduct technical analyses of existing and potential Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) elements and architectures in support of the definition and development of overall system requirements and required component functionalities. Emphasis will be on the quantification of the existing and proposed BMDS counter countermeasure capability. The selected candidate will provide technical leadership for teams of 2-4 analysts. Coordinate with functional working group leads, other task leads, and government offices. Strong technical background in missile defense and systems engineering of large, complex weapon systems is a must. Experience or working knowledge of the development of analytical tools and numerical modeling of complex systems using MATLAB or a similar computing environment is required. A strong communication skill, with proven ability to provide management with technical briefings is required. Must have study lead experience with teams of at least 2-4 analysts. SECRET security clearance is required. Job will require a detailed understanding of the underlying physics of various CCM techniques and algorithms.

Education and/or Experience
Level 4 - Typically 9 to 13 years' experience in an engineering classification or either a Master's degree with 7 to 11 years' experience or a PhD degree with 4 to 8 years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 5 - Typically 14 to 19 years' experience in an engineering classification or either a Master's degree with 12 to 17 years' experience or a PhD degree with 9 to 14 years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Other Job related information
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ballistic missile defense experience, including discrimination, radars, kill vehicles and infra-red sensors. Strong coordination, organization, teaming and communication abilities. Familiarity with BMDS threat generation and selection. Top Secret clearance desired.
