Phoenix House, the nation's premiere non-profit substance abuse treatment organization is searching for an energetic and innovative manager to become our National Accreditation Director. The position will report to the Senior Vice President, Phoenix Houses of New England who is based in Providence, Rhode Island. The position will also have a strong dotted line reporting relationship to the Phoenix House President and Chief Executive Officer who is located in New York City.
The successful candidate will be responsible for our national effort to assure that all of the Phoenix House facilities and programs in New York, California, Texas and Florida are in compliance with CARF (Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) requirements within the next two years. Currently all of our programs in our New England Region (Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine) are CARF certified.
The successful applicant will be an expert in accreditation processes, preferably with CARF; will have an advanced degree and a clinical background preferably in addiction treatment; will have demonstrated project management skills; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; and the demonstrated ability to effectively interact with senior management such as foundation officers, board members, regional management and program directors. This position will require up to 50% travel to programs in New York, California, Florida and Texas to assess program readiness for the accreditation process and make recommendations to assure compliance. We remain flexible as to where the position will be based.
