National Account Manager
Illinois and Indiana Region
GENERAL SCOPE OF JOB:
To identify and market Interstate Distributor Co. transportation capabilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Market IDC transportation services to potential customers
Regularly call on existing customers to solicit orders and maintain relationships
Analyze sales opportunities for lane growth, profitability and service availability
Prepare and present sales contracts
Prospect customers using various sources of information
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Five years of documented sales success in the Transportation Industry
Five years experience in Customer Relationship Management
Extensive knowledge of the transportation industry required
Strong business acumen to identify economic indicators, industry trends, and to sell IDC services to capitalize upon new opportunities
Demonstrate above average organizational and memory skills to effectively handle multiple priorities with short deadlines
Knowledge of geographic locations and the ability to calculate time and distance for these locations
