In this strategic product management role, you'll be in the driver's seat! You'll manage the strategic design, development, implementation, coordination, and ongoing use of new personal insurance products in your territory to achieve company profit and growth objectives.
Lead major initiatives within the department and develop action plans and strategic direction for assigned functional areas to support the development of the Companys overall business strategy for personal lines.
Interact with all relevant departments to coordinate a collaborative effort to develop and achieve personal lines business objectives to include: establishing the mission, setting state specific goals, developing strategies to meet those goals, and ensuring alignment with goals.
Obtain and identify key business issues in all states within scope of responsibility and proactively pursue issues related to improvement of existing personal lines insurance products.
Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Company's underwriting policies, procedures, and objectives for assigned products.
Effectively communicate changes in process and business strategy to all levels of the organization.
Select, develop, motivate, train, and retain a competent staff to ensure appropriate staffing resources.
Improve processes within the Company to increase the level and quality of service provided to internal and external customers. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in business, math, statistics, insurance, or related field or its equivalent.
5 to 7 years of experience in personal lines product development and product management.
3 to 5 years of personal lines underwriting experience.
Extensive knowledge of the personal lines coverages, product development, market, and pricing methodologies including multivariate analysis.
Demonstrated analytical ability to interpret and apply actuarial analysis to management of business product lines.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and positively communicate change.
Comprehensive knowledge of all functional areas of insurance operations.
Proficient with PCs and applicable software.
Demonstrated entrepreneurial leadership and strategic business management in a property and casualty insurance setting.
Comprehensive knowledge of and ability to effectively market the Companys capabilities, services, and competitive advantages.
