BearingPoint is seeking a Mid-Level Java/J2EE Developer to join our team in support of software development activities within our Global Software Development Center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi where you will become an integral part of a development team with opportunities for growth, taking on additional responsibilities and developing a long-term career.
**Relocation to Hattiesburg, MS is required. **Will consider candidates with current H-1B visas for this position. **Low to No travel is required. Responsibilities: Perform detailed software design, documentation, development and testing for Java/J2EE web applications; Analyze customer needs and develop overall concept and design objectives; Successful individuals in this position are able to: Mentor, direct and assess the performance of multiple junior developers. Take a personal interest in the success of their team, and how that drives the larger success of the center. Communicate directly with client teams, and execute small (2-4 person) projects, or individual modules of larger projects of the same size Engage with the client team, building a relationship that drives repeat business. Identify required tasks for project execution, and report status against those Are self-motivated in the attainment of project goals Take an interest in our key business metrics, and execute projects with awareness of the business impact. Requirements: Associates degree, Bachelors degree or commensurate experience; 5+ years of software development experience; 3+ years of Java/J2EE web development experience; 3+ years of experience developing for J2EE Application Servers (WebLogic, Websphere, JBOSS, Oracle AS); 3+ years of experience in the configuration and administration of J2EE Application Servers; 1+ years of experience working with the overall J2EE model (security, presentation options, business components, data access); 1+ years experience with JSPs, Servlets, JavaScript, and HTML; 1+ years of Database experience; 1+ years of previous work experience in multi-level oral and written communications to diverse audiences at multiple organizational levels. 1+ years of work experience in an analytical role identifying and solving problems. 1+ years of experience working in teams and in a team environment, that is process-oriented and deadline-driven. Preferred skills: Experience leading small development teams of 2-4. Experience developing relational data models in support of business requirements. Experience in the development of asynchronous processes (i.e. JMS, MQ series); Understanding of object oriented design and programming; Experience using standard modeling techniques (UML, DFD, TRG) and software development lifecycle tools (Rational, Borland).
