SUMMARY
The Microwave Installation & Maintenance Technician is responsible for installation of interconnect cable and microwave electronic equipment, installation and weatherproofing of various RF connectors, installation of antenna mounting systems and Outdoor Radio Units. Additional duties include technical support to lead technicians and related mentoring to associate technicians. Expected project duration is 12-18 months. Hourly with Benefits offered based on experience. Must be able to pass extensive background testing including DMV, Drug and Criminal checks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Works along side associate technicians guiding them on all technical aspects related to specific job functions.
Ø Takes directions from lead technicians on customer projects and is responsible for quality workmanship and technical support.
Ø Works aggressively on multiple job tasks to help meet timelines.
Ø Documents processes, procedures, and test results.
Ø Crimp connectors.
Ø Install grounding cables.
Ø Mount impulse suppressor.
Ø Install and route transmission cable.
Ø Skilled in Central Office cable lacing.
Ø Able to lift 50 lbs.
Ø Operate T1 test set.
Ø Perform and validate BER Tests.
Ø Program Ceragon GUI interface.
Ø Take inventory and track components in the field.
Ø Work outdoors year round.
Ø Experience in Prior Coordination Notice.
Ø Experience with MapInfo.
Ø Experience with Delorme.
Ø Experience with GPS navigation.
Ø Understand OSHA work safety requirements.
Ø Must be a self-starter.
Ø Must be able to organize time well to meet weekly defined goals.
Ø Must be able to work well in a high-pressure, production driven environment
Ø Must have valid drivers’ license.
Ø Must be computer literate and able to utilize MS (Microsoft) Outlook, Word and Excel.
Ø Must have good verbal and written communications skills.
Ø Must be fluent in English (oral and written).
EDUCATION
Associate’s degree (AA) from a two-year college or technical school; with 3-4 years of telecom installation experience in a highly aggressive field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
A team player with good relationship building skills with clients’ staff and team members
