The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company currently has an opening for a Manager of North America Tire Business Intelligence and Data Architecture in its corporate headquarters in Akron, Ohio.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
* Governance - Build and maintain master data, Business Intelligence, and metadata governance structure to drive a "single version of the truth" across the business unit.
* Business Intelligence Practice - Work with all levels of the business to define, build, and run BI solutions. Define and execute a strategy which will enable the user community to create their own reporting within the agreed governance structure.
* Data Architecture - Create processes, governance, and systems to ensure data definition alignment on business data elements. Define a metadata repository to accurately reflect enterprise definitions and business rules.
* Organizational Development - Create an organization that effectively provides information delivery to the business through the management of master data, business intelligence, metadata and the integration of data with process. Build a strong core team that can be expanded through onshore and offshore resources based on strong processes, policies and documentation.
* Project and Portfolio Management - Institute an executive review board for governance of BI initiatives. Align portfolio with the business unit strategic portfolio and executive review board to ensure proper prioritization of projects. Manager to agreed resource and budget constraints.

Qualifications:

Required-
* BS or higher level degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical experience
* 5 or more years of successful technical experience in a variety of IT disciplines gaining a conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies. Three or more of those years should include exposure to a broad range of business planning, systems analysis, and application development using new and emerging technologies.
* Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management.
* Strong project management, project organization, and superior analytical and problem solving skills.
* Outstanding customer service skills and proven management skills
* Experience in defining, developing, and implementing processes and methods as well as gathering and translating business requirements.
* Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management within the enterprize with excellent collaboration and communication (including presentation) skills.
* Strong business acumen and working knowledge of business functions and processes (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply chain).
* Team development, leadership, and management skills required - Must be able to lead a diversely skilled team in tasks and timelines necessary to meet department objectives, while simultaneously managing ones own, must be capable of mentoring and providing career growth paths and goal setting assistance necessary to maintain a healthy, productive team of contributors.
* Experience in managing a team proficient in BI and Data Warehouse technologies, processes and implementation.

Preferred-
* MBA or equivalent business experience
* 2 or more years relevant business experience
* Established a successful track record of managing joint IT/Business teams through the life-cycle phases (cross functional experience strongly desired).
