Summary Statement: Responsible for all aspects relating to job cost information and inventory of work in process, raw materials, and NORDAM Spare Parts Division (NSPD) inventory. Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities: Analyzes and reconciles inventory accounts. Supervises stakeholders and participates in the training of internal customers about cost, inventory information, and reports available. Provides assistance to accounting departments and The NORDAM Group Repair Division relating to cost accounting and inventory issues. Coordinates the tracking of material usage to assist management. Supervises, coordinates, and analyzes variances in standard cost, purchase price, purchase order to invoice, labor, overhead, material usage, and custom products and takes corrective action on variances when required. Ensures labor distribution and job closing for current accounting period. Monitors, analyzes, and reconciles general ledger accounts related to raw material, NSPD inventory, and work in process. Ensures standard cost updates are performed and account to The NORDAM Group policies and procedures. Coordinates and assists in standard cost rolls according to The NORDAM Group policies and procedures. Provides analysis and review of all accounting functions to NSPD. Assists in preparation of financial statements and other accounting areas as required. Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment. Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS: MANAGER COST ACCOUNTING Formal Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience: Experience may be substituted for the formal education and training requirements in this section at the discretion of management. Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance and minimum five (5) years experience in a fully integrated Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software system. Experience with Fourth Shift software preferred, but not required. Minimum of three (3) years experience in Accounting in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Position requires a high level of confidentiality. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Stakeholder to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to travel between facilities and operate standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the Stakeholder is regularly required to sit and talk and hear. The Stakeholder must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week as required. Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
