LA ROCHE-POSAY / BIOMEDIC AREA SALES MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION PRIMARY OBJECTIVE This position's primary objective is to develop and achieve profitable sales revenue of products and services with both existing accounts (80% of time) and through prospecting efforts (20% of time). The territory encompasses approximately 100 active accounts in the NC, SC and TN markets and the position will be based in Charlotte. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Support the Regional Sales Director in achieving sales targets set by management on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. " Responsible for the management on a continuing basis of approximately 100 accounts through direct visits. The Area Sales Manager is expected to spend most of his/her time in the field meeting with existing accounts and as well cold calling and following up on leads. " Effective territory mgt. including optimizing call cycle through visiting on avg 4 customers per day (appointment based). A+/A/B and New accounts hold be visited monthly, with C accounts targeted every 6-8 weeks and D accounts 1x per quarter. " Opening up quality new accounts through our Advanced Account program (products and peels) targeting a min. of 2 per quarter " Achieve all sales objectives including Base business targets, key product goals (priority skus such as Anthelios) and new product launch objectives. " Advise the Regional Director on competitive activity in the territory to allow preparation for the appropriate response. " Timely submission of weekly/monthly itineraries, Area Action Plans/reports and a weekly call to the Regional Sales Director to follow-up on activities. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Able to carry company promotional material that can exceed 40 lbs. to be used on sales calls. Able to receive/unpack shipments of company literature, samples and trade stock at home or company-provided storage locker. Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word a plus. Ability to travel overnight 30% with approximately 2 overnights per week. REQUIREMENTS Minimum 2-3 years experience in direct outside sales (preferably in either skincare or other medical sales); prior retail experience helpful. College degree Solid, proven track record of sales success Ability to build relationships with physicians and office staff Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills Creative: maximize tools and techniques given to results in greater sales achievements Candidate must reside in the Charlotte (preferably within 30 minutes of airport) area.
