Position Description

Investigate root cause of customer returns and non-conforming material; documenting root causes and their corrective actions in the appropriate customer specific format. Review policies and procedures to prevent occurrence of defects. Update and implement corrective actions. Drive corrective actions through the use of quality systems to create lasting actions. Audit quality assurance system to ensure compliance with established guidelines. Revise and enhance FMEA's and Control Plans. Follow company policies regarding all health, safety and environmental procedures. All other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or Engineering field Steel industry experience preferred. Knowledge of ferrous metallurgy. Knowledge of statistical problem solving methods and experience with automotive quality systems. Team oriented with a strong work ethic. Ability to identify various surface defects and perform root cause assessments. Strong PC software skills including Microsoft Access and statistical software. Two years experience preferred. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Willingness to meet aggressive deadlines.
