The Company
CardioRisk Laboratories – a service company providing life-saving scanning procedures to Internists, Family Practice, Cardiologist, and other Primary Care Physician practices nationwide, and the largest IMT imaging service provider in the US, seeks seasoned independent sales representatives to further growth in this dynamic and hyper-growth organization.
The Technology
Each of the risk factors (over 200) for Atherosclerosis and Heart Disease are accurately reflected in the thickness of the Intima Media (the innermost layer of the arterial wall).
Additionally, a sticky substance called plaque often grows into, or away from the lumen of the artery and can be found as either: soft, calcified, or heterogeneous lesions.
Soft plaque can be particularly dangerous in that it can break off and cause a thrombus (blood clot) which can lead to heart attack and/or stroke. A simple and non-(invasive) ultrasound scan performed by CardioRisk’s Certified and trained sonographers accurately measure the thickness of the Intima Media, and identifies the presence and type of plaque found in intermediate risk patients.
Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) stands alone as the number one cause of death in the United States, yet most physicians are still screening for symptoms of disease (cholesterol tests) and are unaware of the availability to take pictures of, and quantify the amount of disease present in the individual patient. CardioRisk technology can see the earliest signs of inflammation (pre-disease) through full-blown stenoic plaque. The test is recommended by the American Heart Association.
Since as many as 40% of those who die from heart attack or stroke had no prior symptoms, this procedure provides valuable and life-saving insight into a patient’s risk for heart attack and/or stroke. CardioRisk uses FDA cleared and patented software to scan patients at the physician’s office.
