Requirements

Medical Assistant

·  Performs a range of routine clinical and clerical duties to support professional patient care under direct supervision of a provider, or Registered Nurse.

·  Specifically assists with office procedures and provides competent direct nursing care according to California Medical Assistant Scope of Practice. Serves as a resource within the department.

·  Requires a high level of contact with internal staff, physicians, health care professionals and patients.

·  Participates in department quality improvement activities, clinical safety, infection control and hazardous materials programs and activities.

·  Participates in special departmental or clinic wide projects as requested by supervisor.

Must have MA or CNA Certification at time of hire as well as valid CPR Certification

Requires the ability to adapt to varied age-specific and/or specialized groups, namely:

·  Neonatal

·  Infant

·  Toddler

·  Child

·  Adolescent

·  Adult and Geriatric.
