Position Description:

Chevron North America Exploration and Production is accepting online applications for the position of Mechanical-Rotating Engineer located in Nikiski, Alaska.
Overview: Under the direction of the Maintenance Superintendent, provide cost effective engineering support and management of facility projects for Chevrons Base Business, with a focus on gas operations.
Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities: • Facilitate Alaska Business Unit efforts to implement Base Business standardized compression/power generation equipment optimization processes. • Effectively use technical expertise, equipment files, history briefs, inspections records, and other sources to identify and communicate improvement opportunities. • Identify new compression/power generation related technologies and best practices and implement through area of responsibility. • Establish preventative maintenance strategies; scope/troubleshoot problems and issues, develop alternatives, propose and implement solutions for long term reliability. • Lead and participate in monthly compressor/power generation review meetings, Performance Improvement Team meetings and participate in project and audit teams. • Interface with Energy Management; answer technical inquiries and make technical recommendations. • Evaluate, design and implement solutions with the guidance of industry recommended practices and in compliance with applicable Chevron and Corporate Policies and Procedures. • Willingly accept accountability for project performance parameters (timeliness, cost, quality). • Carry out assigned, job-specific OMS responsibilities. • Maximize use of available project management tools. • Select and supervise contract engineering resources. • Work closely with Asset Team to prioritize, plan & execute projects that provide needed facilities on schedule and on budget.
Required (Basic) Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree is required in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or Process Engineering.
