DRS Technical Services Inc - Air Force Operations Division is seeking a dynamic individual as a Mechanical Engineer (Journeymen).  This individual will provide Engineering support services to Tinker AFB.  This individual will work with the Air Force and required resources to achieve project objectives to include SOW requirements.

 

Position Summary

Individual will provide mechanical engineering support for an Air Force maintenance complex. This individual will provide engineering support with regard to complex mechanical and/or hydraulic systems as well as the design, development, and upgrade and support of hydraulic and/or mechanical systems. Technical skills in hardware design, development and documentation, performing  fundamental engineering duties and assists government engineers and managers in formulating preliminary designs, performing tests, taking measurements and performing system analyses or simulations. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

This individual will support complex mechanical and/or hydraulic systems as well as the design, development, and upgrade and support of hydraulic and/or mechanical systems.  Will support higher level engineers in solving complex engineering problems; performing of hardware design, development, integration/implementation and analysis; interface with government personell; and work closely with program management and other engineers in a concurrent engineering environment.

 

Basic Qualifications

Individual shall have a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering aand have requisite skills to perform in all phases of mechanical and or/hydraulic hardware design, development, and documentation. An understanding of facility and/or industrial equipment, mechanical diagrams and schematics,and military specification and certifications desired.

 

Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge

Excellent verbal and written communications skills, customer service oriented, team player.
