SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for engaging in the planning and implementation of marketing and sales collateral, programs and campaigns. Assists management in planning and creating strategies, tactics, and materials for the purpose of conveying corporate messaging to target markets, retaining and strengthening customer relationships and expanding business development efforts. Packages and distributes related marketing materials, and serves as liaison between the company and its customers, partners, trade associations, outside vendors and media audiences.
DUTIES AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Participates in the planning, implementation and execution of marketing programs and business development campaigns. Establishes related metrics and measurement tools, and reports results to management.
§ Develops the design, writing and production of marketing communications materials according to established deadlines, including corporate literature, internal/external communication tools, product/services data sheets, email campaigns, case studies, etc.
§ Develops design concepts with both short deadlines & long-term projects, and executes well in a high-pressure team environment.
§ Translates the communications strategy into relevant, interesting and persuasive design and copy that cohesively combines key branding attributes and value proposition messaging.
§ Ensures marketing materials, advertising, media and public relations efforts position the company and its service portfolio for high visibility with customers, partners, trade associations, outside vendors and media audiences.
§ Creates and maintains methodologies/tools for responding to RFP/RFI requests, manages associated processes and allocation of resources and provides strategic input and copywriting specific to winning targeted business opportunities.
§ Monitors, tracks and reports RFP activity and status.
§ Manages multiple assigned projects through to completion and on time, keeping involved parties and leadership apprised of work and its progress.
§ Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
§ Bachelor's degree in Business, English or Marketing.
§ Three to five years of marketing communications experience.
§ Strong writing, editing and design skill sets; experience in Dreamweaver a plus.
§ Working knowledge of business development, marketing and public relations principles and practices.
§ Excellent time management, communications, decision making, presentation, human relations and organizational skills.
§ Experience in leading cross-functional teams in the development and execution of marketing initiatives.
§ Proactive communication and interfacing skills with external and internal customer bases, including top tier management.
§ Proficient PC skills.
