This position will relocate from San Francisco, CA to Walnut Creek, CA in late 2009.RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job exists to develop and implement integrated marketing programs in-line with overall sales and product line goals, strategies and positioning.
Acts to effectively coordinate program/project implementation on time and to budget.
Works with sales and product teams, internal creative services and external agencies in all phases of creative development and production in support of programs/projects.
Monitors performance, response, and ROI of marketing programs.
Analyzes competitive marketing and advertising intelligence to validate existing parameters and establishes need for new programs/projects.
Prepares reports/presentations on projects.
Works within enterprise values of Members First, Integrity, Collaboration, Adaptability, Accountability, Excellence, Diversity.
Assists in managing cross-functional teams to implement marketing programs that meet strategic objectives.
Assists in developing marketing communication programs and coordinates appropriate approvals of program strategies and creative materials.
Develops and monitors tracking and measurement tools to assess response and ROI against established financial objectives for programs.
Manages program budgets.
Coordinates all necessary training and communications with appropriate departments to ensure seamless introduction and rollout to office and contact centers.
Partners closely with internal stakeholders to identify and leverage marketing opportunities. Ensures corporate marketing efforts are leveraged across sales geographies, channels and business functions.
Oversees resources, such as outside agencies, vendors, and suppliers for the production of collateral materials to support marketing programs/projects.
Assists in negotiations with vendor contracts and terms.
Analyzes consumer research including customer satisfaction and consumer tracking studies in order to monitor effects of marketing programs and the consumer.
Prepares reports/presentations on program/project results, market conditions and other topics to assist in the development of marketing plans.
Ensures that all tactical online communications programs conform to corporate branding and identity standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Strong knowledge of Direct Marketing and customer relationship management. Strong decision making, organizational, project management, problem solving skills and customer service skills.
Strong analytical skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Self-initiating approach to work and team building capabilities.
Extremely detail oriented with good follow-through.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, and to be guided by general organizational or project objectives.
Must have command of the English language and must be able to express oneself effectively verbally, in writing, in person, in formal presentations and over the telephone.
Must display interpersonal skills and ability to interact with members, employees and others in a professional and tactful manner.
BA/BS in Marketing, Business or related field. Three to five years experience in marketing role or in an ad agency account service. Excellent creative thinking, creative problem solving skills and analytical skills Strong background and interest in Customer Relationship Management. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid relationships with internal and external partners. Strong communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to present effectively. Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
