I) Position Summary

Responsible for the administration and coordination of marketing projects within TCF Bank and its affiliates. Leads the planning, designing and implementation processes in support of the division, department or entity attaining or exceeding specific planned goals.

 

II) Major Areas of Accountability

Work with key stakeholders of assigned divisions to implement marketing strategies that are supportive of and consistent with major business goals.

Continuously reviews and evaluates project status compared to planned goals, and initiates necessary corrective actions as required. Ensures that annual plan is met through expense control and management of applicable project budget(s).

Identifies and incorporates appropriate resources and establishes priorities that assure project objectives are met.

Presents and facilitates presentation of new projects that support marketing strategies to management when required for consideration and approval.

Works directly with service providers to manage creation of materials or advertising to ensure conformity with company standards, budgetary limitations and legal requirements.

 

 

Provides regular updates to the Manager regarding project progress and other critical information.

Interfaces with other departments to ensure operational, functional, legal and compliance issues and interests are explored and issues resolved prior to implementation of programs.

May supervise when necessary and provide back up to Senior Marketing Managers (i.e. interns, temps, marketing assistants.)

III) Minimum Qualifications

Education

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in advertising or marketing or equivalent work experience

Preferred:

MBA

Work Experience

Required:

5 years of experience in a regional or corporate marketing department, agency, or equivalent firm.Two or more years of experience in financial industry marketing, public relations, project management, sales, or administration.Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with all levels of TCF personnel.Prior experience with budgeting and tracking against budget.Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time.

Preferred:

Prior experience in marketing or communications for a financial services provider.Solid understanding of bank regulations and the advertising challenges associated with said regulations.Experience with interpreting program results and calculating Return-on-Investment.Experience in interfacing with senior and corporate management.Prior supervisory experience.
