An international fitness equipment, certification and education provider seeks an energetic, proactive and self-directed Marketing Manager to manage its marketing initiatives and drive the launches of forthcoming products and programs. The selected individual will apply their strategic thinking and project execution skills to spearhead the marketing team’s objectives of acquiring new customers, maintaining current customers and fostering a sense of community and loyalty.

 

 

Specific responsibilities include:    

 

New Product Launches: Champion positioning, competitive analysis, projections, marketing plans and development of supporting collateral and website content/functionality.  Market Research/Strategy: Implement quantitative and qualitative market research to identify key markets and their drivers.  Strategic Communications: Manage creation, distribution and measurement of email and DM campaigns geared at increasing site traffic, sales and driving database growth and market expansion.Email Marketing: Plan, refine and manage ongoing and promotional email campaigns. Co-Marketing/Strategic Alliances: manage if applicable. Advertising: Channel selection and campaign planning and development.Web: Manage marketing related components of the website including promotions/banners, content refresh, site optimization, usability and ongoing review of analytics to reduce cart abandonment, increase $/visit and drive repeat visits. SEO: Monitor site’s organic rankings in regard to most profitable keywords and adapt SEO strategy as needed.PPC: Manage and optimize Google, Yahoo and MSN PPC campaigns including ad split testing, landing page testing/optimization and bid and keyword management.  Public Relations: Draft and distribute press releases, manage media relations and create and execute annual PR plan. Customer Profiling: Track/measure campaigns and initiatives to profile, segment and target consumers based upon past preferences International Marketing:  Support the development of strategy and multi-national campaigns. Marketing Collateral: Work with in-house graphics department to manage development of key marketing collateral including messaging and presentation. Copywriting: Draft and/or edit copy for website and key collateral. CRM: Refine strategy and execute tactics aimed at maximizing customer loyalty, value and conversions.

 

Requirements

 

·         5-7 years of marketing experience

·         BA/BS in marketing, communications or related field

·         Excellent writing and copywriting skills

·         Demonstrated knowledge of PPC, online and email marketing

·         Experience in/knowledge of the fitness industry is a plus

·         Ability to set priorities and excellent time management skills

·         Proactive nature, willingness to take on new projects and adaptability to changing direction
