We are currently seeking a
Marketing Manager - Point of Care Testing for our
Northern New Jersey / Corporate Office location
. Within this integral position you will develop the sales strategies to ensure both profitable growth, which is aligned with all Quest Diagnostics' business objectives, and provides the highest levels of customer satisfaction. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Planning
Collects, analyzes, & interprets business data & uses the information appropriately to maintain & grow the business and anticipate new opportunities. Prepares product line and contributes to the development of the overall marketing plans. Establishes pricing and makes distribution channel decisions. Identifies organization capabilities are aligned with the business plans. Evaluates, creates and executes effective marketing tools. Develops budgets/forecasts in support of the plans. Develops & utilizes feedback & tracking mechanisms and responds accordingly. Provides oversight & direction for business planning for staff
Market Intelligence
Understands market data, trends, customer attitudes, behaviors, and the competitive landscape to maximize current & future opportunities. Utilizes market intelligence in market planning, decision making (primary or secondary) and for product positioning. Identifies need for market intelligence, engages in market research, analyzes and communicates results. Recommends product improvements and evaluates new product designs for market acceptability.
Channel/Segment Positioning
Understands positioning strategies and creates, implements and manages channel/segment positioning for competitive advantage. Identifies key drivers necessary to enhance value. Understands, defines and communicates the value proposition. Integrates the value proposition in all initiatives. Works closely with third party distributors and tracks marketing programs.
Marketing Management
Analyzes, develops, implements & monitors marketing programs successfully to achieve goals. Plans & implements programs that meet growth expectations. Executes marketing plans within budget. Develops and tracks forecasts/budgets against plans and identifies areas for mid-course corrections.
Communication
Effectively uses listening, written, verbal skills to achieve business results. Proactively & concisely communicates necessary info on a timely basis. Ability to provide direction & feedback to key constituents clearly and concisely. Acts as a member of the worldwide product management team with members from R&D, QA, Finance, Sales and Manufacturing.
EXPERIENCE: MBA Desired. 5 plus years experience in Marketing of Medical Equipment required. 3 plus years of in-vitro diagnostics (product specific) experience required, preferably in Point of Care Testing. Experience with New Product Launch required. Strong capacity to do tactical and strategic work. Must have capability to use Word, Excel, Power Point, knowledge of Access helpful and use of internet marketing skills is a plus.
BUSINESS UNDERSTANDING: Understanding of all marketing management related disciplines including but not limited to marketing management, finance, sales, research, advertising, & promotion, new product launches and product/market optimization.
**Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time.**
