We are currently looking for a marketing professional for our Communications department in our Saint Louis headquarters.  The scope of the position and the relevant skills required are below:

 

OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for tracking all Marketing Communications activities completed using vendors, such as printing firms, from bid award to completion.

 

Provide support for literature fulfillment process, tradeshow activities, market research projects and sales incentive programs.   Maintains photo archive.  Maintains record retention system.  Fulfills business card requests.

 

Manages the department financial records.  Maintains all files, both electronic and paper, by project, vendor, etc.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pay invoices and track all spending in Budget database. Reconcile all spending on a monthly basis with Finance department records. Manage the activities of outside vendors (pre-press house, printer, photographer, etc.) to ensure sales literature and other marketing communications projects are completed on budget and delivered on time.  The department completes hundreds of creative and administrative projects that total more than $1,000,000 annually.  This position is responsible for maintaining all records and files to verify project costs, allowing for quick access to completed project records and suggesting procedures to streamline activities. In addition, the employee will establish and maintain archives for all images.

 

Supervise fulfillment center activities including managing inventory and reporting processes. Communicate ordering procedures to internal and external customers.

 

Work with Communications Production Manager, assisting with tradeshow activities and planning as well as managing the sales incentive program (wearables and other items with the Lincoln logo).  Support other departments by fulfilling requests for business cards through the designated vendor.

 

MINIMUM QUALIIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

A Bachelors degree in Marketing/Communications and related experience (or equivalent combination of experience and education) is required. Prefer experience in a creative production environment such as an agency, design firm, prepress house, etc.  Excellent communication skills both written and oral, including proficiency in English grammar, composition, spelling and proofreading are required.

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

Three to five years experience in a Marketing Communications department, preferably with experience in the literature production process. Knowledge of the principles of design and typography including experience with desktop publishing applications is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
