Overview

 

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this individual coordinates the execution of a wide range of marketing projects and campaigns that will directly support revenue growth, profitability and market penetration.  The position has full project management responsibility for ensuring campaigns are executed is done on-time, within budget, and with precision accuracy.  The job presents an opportunity for an ambitious, intelligent and technically-proficient marketing professional early in their marketing career to develop expertise in several critical marketing functions.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

 

Product and Program Marketing

 

Manage frequent integrated marketing campaigns and other plans that drive leads, build awareness, or educate our markets.Build and manage, in close collaboration with marketing management, product marketing, and each sales rep, a central, integrated campaign calendar that controls campaign execution timeline and sales target regions.Assist product marketing in conducting focus groups, surveys and primary or secondary market research.Work with the Marketing Director to develop and execute test messages, campaigns or marketing pieces; evaluate for consideration in broader campaign execution.Serve as a gatekeeper for all marketing requests through Case/request system in Salesforce.com, working with the Marketing Director to approve, prioritize and assign tasks across marketing functions; ensure tasks are executed on time and within budget.Plan and administer new initiatives across departments, including presentations and meetings, coordinating training events and documentation.Research industry standards and best practices and evaluate opportunities to improve marketing programs and planning.

 Program & System Analysis

 

Develop and deliver weekly campaign briefing/evaluation for marketing management.Create, modify and prepare comprehensive reports, dashboards, triggers and scripts in Salesforce.com that will help provide visibility into campaign execution and timeline, or automation of marketing functions within the system.Work with Marketing Director to develop strong ROI and cost models for marketing programs; monitor and measure success of each campaign.Work closely with marketing operations to develop business processes and other business systems that support marketing’s programs and integration across departments.

Special Projects

 

Maintain Referenceable Accounts List, Client Lists, Purchase History, and repositories of staff reports and other documents used during the marketing & sales process.Perform basic content updates and fixes to both internal and public websites.Work with marketing managers and director to identify and research marketing/business efficiency tools and help build/organize consensus around improvements to or automation of internal business processes/workflow.Assist the marketing director in project and campaign related tasks as they come upProvide occasional, light administrative support for the marketing department, to include records and document maintenance, training coordination, travel arrangements, and other details.

 Qualifications and Experience:

 

Either an undergraduate degree with 2 years of professional experience relevant to this position, or at least 4 years of professional or military without a degree.  Preferred degree concentration in Business, or Government/Public Administration.1-2 years of experience in project management, having successfully executed multiple complex projects simultaneously from start to finish—all on time and within budget.Experience working with or in government offices, elected officials, etc. is preferred.Extremely solid communication skills, especially written and verbal/presentation.Deep analytical and research skills.Demonstrated ambition, initiative and persistence/perseverance.Absolutely impeccable integrity, meticulous organizational skills and a superb attention to detail.Strong, demonstrated technical experience with Salesforce.com combined with a strong technical aptitude for its administration and automation.A solid grounding in Web technologies and an interest in marketing program management, product marketing, corporate marketing, strategic planning, or other related areas of professional growth interest.
