Your Responsibilities:
Summary:This position supports the Marketing and Sales Department with the management of the customer sales process and related product branding and promotion. This position also serves in a liaison capacity with outside organizations to develop networking relationships and facilitates outside funding opportunities. Duties and Responsibilities:* Support the overall execution of the marketing plan to achieve sales targets.* Manage customer sales process (from response to incoming inquiries, providing quotes, and processing orders, to completion through product shipment; additionally work with customers after the sale to obtain feedback on satisfaction level with product and customer service).* Implement SuperPower branding campaign, carrying out necessary revisions to all marketing collateral (sell sheets, posters, website, presentation templates, promotional items, product packaging, etc.) in line with expansion of target applications.* Manage weekly sales meetings to ensure accurate and timely product deliveries* Work with sales manager to follow-up on customer sales leads and maintain positive customer relationships to increase sales* Maintain master marketing calendar (including trade shows, conferences, PR events, sales presentation, sales trips, tracking and meeting deadlines, preparation of marketing collateral for these events, advanced shipping to shows, scheduling of updates to marketing collateral)* Manage SuperPower website through content management system; update events and maintain current product and technical information.* Execute e-mail marketing campaigns.* Maintain customer database/CRM system in conjunction with marketing team.* Plan and execute company sponsored PR events.* Participate in community events/meetings to build outside relationships.* Organize logistical details of group presentations/tours.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:* Must be experienced in customer database management; marketing calendar coordination; email marketing; supplier management for outsourced marketing activities (website, literature) government and community relations building; event planning, and budgeting.* Superior writing and editing skills.* Superconductivity knowledge, especially pertaining to second generation HTS wire, is desirable. * Prior exposure to R&D environment is preferred.* Proven interpersonal skills, including ability to develop strong relationships with all constituents.* Highly developed computer skills -- advanced skill using Internet, databases, Microsoft Office, graphics and desktop publishing.* Self-starter, requires minimal daily supervision to accomplish responsibilities to completion.* Hands-on, team player; high energy and strong work ethic.* Excellent organizational skills. * Demonstrated ability to multitask, re-prioritize activities and deliver quality results within strict deadlines.
Your Profile:
Experience/Education:* 4-year degree from an accredited college or university, marketing degree is preferred.* 4-5 years experience in a hands-on marketing/sales role. * Background with a high tech manufacturer or technology R&D company is preferred.* Experience in a rapid growth, high tech and/or start-up environment is a plus.Physical Requirements:Include, but are not limited to:* Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.* Ability to operate standard office equipment (calculator, personal computer, telephone, etc.).
